We collect and process your personal data for the purpose of securing an early DVSA driving test appointment and coordinating lessons.
Your data is handled in accordance with our

Terms and Conditions,
and applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.
Your data will be shared only as necessary to deliver this service: specifically with the DVSA via its online booking systems to search for, book, cancel, change or swap test appointments on your behalf, and with your allocated Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) for lesson planning and communication.
We will not share your information with other third parties unless required by law.
By submitting this form, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete, and you give consent for LIDT to act on your behalf to manage DVSA test bookings (including booking, cancelling, changing, or swapping tests), and to contact you regarding your application and any bookings made.

Scope
- These terms apply to registration only. Registration places you on our waiting list so we can search for suitable DVSA practical test appointments.
- Registration is not a booking and no payment is taken at this stage.

Use of your details
- Your details will be used to search for and book DVSA test appointments.
- We may share your details with an assigned Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) for lesson coordination and communication.

Consent to manage bookings
- By opting in, you authorise LIDT to book, cancel, change, or swap DVSA tests on your behalf.
- We will inform you of any test we book for you.
- Do not make changes directly with DVSA; all changes must go through LIDT.

Waiting list rules
- When we find a test, we will notify you. You must reply within 48 hours (or sooner if the DVSA deadline is near).
- If we do not hear from you in time, the test will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
- If you cannot attend a test we booked for you, do not change or cancel it yourself. We will reallocate it to the next person. You may choose to remain on the waiting list or be removed.

DVSA swap limit
- DVSA applies a limit of five swaps.
- To avoid reaching this limit and making your booking harder to manage, please make every effort to keep the test we secure.
- We can attempt alternative dates a few times, subject to availability and DVSA limits.

Deposit and payments
- A deposit payment will be required once we secure a test for you. The payment deadline will be stated in our offer (typically 24–48 hours).
- Failure to pay the deposit within the stated time will result in cancellation of the test we secured.
- Final payment for lessons and test-day car hire is made directly to your allocated instructor (ADI).

Prices (current)
- Hourly driving lessons: £45.00
- Test car rental: £90.00
- Test booking costs:
- DVSA fee: £62.00 (£75.00 for weekend test)
- LIDT admin fee: £63.00
- Final payment is collected by the instructor. Card transaction fee not equated to final payment. Requesting final payment to be made by card will incur fees

Instructor allocation and lessons
- ADIs are self-employed and independent; by taking lessons you enter a separate agreement with the ADI for tuition.
- You and your ADI will agree your lesson schedule; be on time. Lessons are not extended for lateness.
- Lesson cancellations: give at least 48 hours’ notice directly to your ADI; missed or late-cancelled lessons may be charged in full at the ADI’s discretion.
- You must hold a valid UK provisional licence and meet DVSA test requirements.
- If you are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medication, the ADI may cancel lessons or refuse the use of their vehicle for the test without refund.
- Any tolls, congestion or road-user charges during lessons or the test are your responsibility.

DVSA rules
- All appointments are subject to DVSA regulations, including the 10 full working day deadline for changes or cancellations and operational constraints such as weather or examiner availability.

Liability (summary)
- LIDT is not responsible for DVSA cancellations or rescheduling, examiner absence, adverse weather, third-party interference, or losses outside our reasonable control.

Opting out
- You may withdraw consent and ask to be removed from the waiting list at any time by emailing info@lidt.co.uk.
