Total cost for a weekend, bank holiday, or evening appointment is £149, which includes DVSA fee of £75, admin fee of £60, VAT £12, and transaction fee £2.

The booking fee does not cover the cost of using a driving instructor's car or any driving lessons prior to the test. It is your responsibility to confirm with your driving instructor that they are available before making a booking. If you need to reschedule the appointment through LIDT, there will be an additional administration fee of £20 plus VAT and transaction fee. The average waiting time for a practical test through GOV.UK is at least 8 months, but LIDT offers fast-track slots that can allow you to take the test sooner. We have a network of over 100 approved driving instructors and work with over 1000 learner drivers. We book over 100 practical and theory test appointments on behalf of our pupils through our affiliates on the DVSA online business booking portal. Over 50% of the appointments we book for our pupils are typically rescheduled to a later or earlier date. If one of our pupils needs to reschedule their appointment, we are authorised by the DVSA and the pupil to offer the newly available slot to other customers. These appointments are only available to book through LIDT website and cannot be viewed on GOV.UK.
By subscribing to our fast track notification system or booking a practical test through our website, you give LIDT and our affiliates the authority to act as your legal representative when dealing with the DVSA and DVLA. This includes the ability to book, swap, reallocate, and cancel test appointments on your behalf. To have your data permanently deleted and not used for future bookings, you must unsubscribe from this service by emailing the admin team at INFO@LIDT.CO.UK.
