Intensive courses built around you.
You want to pass quickly. Maybe you already have a test date. Maybe you found a swap match through LIDT. Either way, once you have a test date confirmed, LIDT builds your intensive course backwards from that date so you arrive at your test fully prepared. If you are looking for a complete intensive driving course in London, we have you covered.
Already have a test date?
We match the course to it
Tell us your test date, test centre and current experience
2-hour assessment lesson from £40/hr to determine your level
We recommend the right course length based on your assessment
Instructor allocated, lessons scheduled daily around your test date
Test car included. You take your test in the car you trained in
Need a test date?
Use our assisted booking service
If you do not yet have a car test booked, you can use our in person assisted booking service to book your test and secure a fast track driving test. Once your instructor confirms you are ready via the LIDT Instructor App, our team will guide you through booking on GOV.UK step by step, at our office or over a video call. You complete every step yourself. We make sure nothing goes wrong.
There are two ways to plan your course around this:
- Secure your test first (recommended). Wait until your test date is secured, then arrange your lessons. Your course is block booked leading up to your confirmed test date.
- Start lessons while you wait. Take occasional lessons with your instructor while your test is being secured, then block book the remaining lessons leading up to the test.
This service is exclusive to candidates training with LIDT instructors, including those taking a one week driving crash course in London.

Information for existing course customers
If you previously booked an intensive course through LIDT and have an active DVSA test appointment, please read the following carefully. From 12 May 2026 you are responsible for managing your own test. Your course is organised around your test date, so any change to your test directly affects your course.
Step 1
Check your test is still booked
Visit gov.uk/check-driving-test with your booking reference and driving licence number to confirm your appointment is in place.
Step 2
Update your DVSA contact details
Log in at GOV.UK and make sure your email address, phone number and home address are up to date so DVSA can reach you directly.
Step 3
If your circumstances change, contact us first
Changing or cancelling your test without informing us will void your course. Contact us at info@lidt.co.uk before taking any action.
We strongly encourage all candidates to attend their booked test. Good luck!
