Please review this policy periodically as it may be updated. By using our website or services you agree to be bound by this policy. For any questions please contact us at info@lidt.co.uk.

7 Sharing data with Approved Driving Instructors
When you register with LIDT for driving tuition or non-car test categories (motorcycle, lorry, HGV, bus, ADI), we may share your personal data including your name, phone number, address and test appointment details with a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), solely for the purpose of organising your tuition. All ADIs who work with LIDT are contractually bound to:
- Only use your data for the purpose of arranging tuition
- Keep your information confidential and secure
- Delete your data after the service is completed
- Never share your data without LIDT's authorisation
We only share your data with an ADI once you have given us your explicit consent during the registration process. If you wish to withdraw consent or request deletion of your data, please contact us at info@lidt.co.uk.
Note: LIDT does not act as a candidate's representative with the DVSA for car practical tests. ADI data sharing for car test categories no longer applies following the 2026 rule changes.
8 Swap matching data sharing New
When LIDT identifies a compatible swap match, we share certain details with the matched candidate to facilitate the DVSA phone swap process. Specifically, we share your DVSA test booking reference number with the matched candidate so that both parties can call DVSA together to complete the swap.
Your full name, driving licence number, contact details and payment card information are never shared directly with another candidate. LIDT acts as an intermediary to protect your personal data throughout the swap process. Details are shared only after both parties have paid the platform fee and confirmed their agreement to proceed.
9 Third party data processors New
LIDT uses the following platforms to deliver our services. Each processes your data only for the specific purpose stated:
All third party processors are contractually bound to handle your data securely, use it only for the stated purpose, and comply with UK GDPR.
