(Read guidance note)
1) If LIDT booked your test
Due to recent DVSA policy changes, we are no longer able to reschedule driving tests. The only available option is to cancel your existing booking and then attempt to secure a new test date. By proceeding, you acknowledge and accept that your current test will be cancelled before any new booking is made.
You should only proceed if you are unable to attend your current test. If you are able to attend, it is strongly advised that you do not continue with this request.
Once your existing test is cancelled, the DVSA fee (£62/£75) will be refunded for that booking regardless of whether a new test is successfully secured. Administration and transaction fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
LIDT does not guarantee that a new test can be secured. If we are unable to obtain a replacement booking after your existing test has been cancelled, you may be left without a test. Any payments made towards a new booking will be refunded minus the applicable card transaction fee. By proceeding, you accept this risk in full.
Do not cancel or make any changes to your test yourself. We must process the cancellation to ensure the DVSA refund is confirmed. If you cancel or amend the booking independently, we will be unable to verify the refund and no refund will be issued. Any such action will be treated as a new and separate booking.
2) If you booked your own test (or used another third party)
You are solely responsible for cancelling your existing test. If an active booking is detected, we may attempt to cancel it on your behalf; however, this is not guaranteed. You must ensure all details provided, including your theory test certificate number, are accurate and valid.
If your test is more than 10 working days away, the DVSA fee (£62/£75) will be refunded to your original payment method, typically within 5 working days. If your test is within 10 working days, the DVSA fee is non-refundable and will be forfeited.
Where we are unable to access your booking, you will be contacted with instructions to cancel the test yourself. Failure to do so will prevent your booking. You will be refunded and charged an unsuccessful booking fee.
