What assisted booking includes: real-time slot alerts, swap pairing with other candidates, Zoom guidance sessions, and remote connection assistance. You complete every step yourself via GOV.UK, fully compliant with 2026 DVSA rules.

The £100 platform fee is only charged once you successfully book a test slot through our alert or swap matching service. No booking, no fee.

You can apply for a provisional licence at gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence. It typically arrives within 1 to 2 weeks. Come back and register once you have it and we will get you matched with an instructor straight away.

A valid theory pass certificate is required before a practical test can be booked. You can register for lessons while waiting to pass. Let us know once you have passed and we will arrange your test.

Call DVSA on 0300 200 1122 to have the block removed. This usually takes up to 72 hours and is re-applied automatically after 30 days.

Have you previously passed your driving test in an automatic vehicle? *

We are unable to accept online registrations from candidates who have already passed in an automatic vehicle.

If you still need to book a practical test, you will need to call DVSA directly on 0300 200 1122 and book over the phone. They can assist with finding an available slot and will process your booking directly.

Terms and privacy

We collect and process your personal data to coordinate your driving course and provide assistance with your DVSA practical test appointment. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. By submitting this form you confirm the information is accurate and consent to LIDT sharing your details with an allocated ADI for lesson coordination purposes.

Registration is not a booking and no payment is taken at this stage. A deposit will be required once your course is confirmed. Final payment is made directly to your instructor. LIDT is not responsible for DVSA cancellations, examiner absence, adverse weather, or losses outside our reasonable control.
